SUMMARY OF OUR ACTIVITIES
The idea of launching the website emerged after
the New Delhi visit of Dr Franco Oliva, Deputy
Director, International Olive Oil Council, in
December 2005.
An affiliate of the Indian Wine Academy, www.indianoliveoil.com
is committed to the promotion of olive oil,
table olives and the Mediterranean Diet as a
lifestyle alternative for healthy living in
India. It has been promoted by the co-founders
of the Indian Wine Academy, Subhash Arora and
Sourish Bhattacharyya.
Its objective is to be a one-stop resource
for international olive oil producers willing
to do business with Indian companies and for
Indian importers and F&B decision-makers
to get in touch with olive oil marketing groups
and individual companies.
IndianOliveOil.com
also:
-- Provides, for a price, database services
to international olive oil producers, diplomatic
missions and marketing agencies;
-- Organises olive oil dinners and tastings
at wine events and hospitality exhibitions;
-- Promotes the idea that Indian food can be
cooked wholesomely with olive oil;
-- Popularises the health benefits of olive
oil and table olives among members of elite
clubs, F&B professionals and hotel management
students.

Editor, Mail Today, a international
joint venture between the India Today Group,

Together, they launched delWine,
the country’s first eNewsletter on wine,
food business, retail and hospitality sectors,
which is now in its 136th edition and is being
circulated to 5,500 wine producers in 28 countries
as well as food and wine importers, hospitality
decision-makers, retail sector heads and hotel
management institutes. They have co-authored
the Italian Wine Guide, a guide to

Mr Arora, who’s the India Correspondent
